Website Design Cheltenham has built the new Charlton Kings Social Club
We at Website Design in Cheltenham were very pleased to have been invited by a couple of our clients who are members of the Charlton Kings Social Club to quote for the rebuild of their site. And we were even more pleased when our competitive tender was successful.
The Club was founded in 1888 and officially opened on 1st December 1888. Major refurbishments have taken place over the years – namely in 1963 when the existing skittle alley was built, and in 1980 when the new snooker room, offices and toilets were constructed on the first floor.
In 2000 the name of the club was changed from Charlton Kings Working Men’s Club and Institute to ‘The Charlton Kings Club’. Women were given full rights in 2002, and the club now boasts a female secretary, trustee and members of the committee.
The original website was build a few years ago but needed updating with better elements so that it is much easier for Club administrators to update the content about events and special occasions without needing the technical skills of professional designers- which is where we came in to make their lives easier.
As well as Search Engine Optimising the site to make it easier from potential new members to find the website and enrol.
