Website Design Cheltenham Secures Emily Bradbury' Site.
Website Design Cheltenham has been asked by the international, award winning singer and actress Emily Bradbury to secure and search engine optimise her site.

Having set up and built her eponymous site a couple of years ago, she has hitherto failed to get her site ranking on the first page of Google and also needs a bit of TLC to make the site more user friendly.

So we offered to do the search engine optimisation (SEO)  to help her in her endeavours. Having nearly 20 years of expertise in doing the same for others’ sites we feel that the process is not a “black hat” process but is a scientific, repeatable processes to achieve these goals.

Born in Hong Kong, Emily Bradbury is a Toronto-based performing artist currently residing in Egham, England as she completes her degree in Drama and Dance from Royal Holloway, University of London.

When starting at Royal Holloway in September 2016, Emily threw herself into auditioning for the Musical Theatre Society and got cast in their Autumn production of Bring It On. In the spring of 2017, the opportunity to shadow the producer of the Musical Theatre Society’s production of Spring Awakening gave her some new skills to add to her tool belt.

After a phenomenal year with the Musical Theatre Society, Emily was elected to be the Publicity Officer for the upcoming year 2017-18. This role includes coordinating all forms of social media and being the creative eye for the vision of the group.

Most recently, Emily was cast as the role of Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors with Ethereal Theatre Company where the show will be performed at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2017.

Website design Cheltenham picks up ENDE trailer transporters

Cheltenham website designers have been picked by ENDE trailer transporters to develop their digital marketing.

Cheltenham website designers have been picked by ENDE trailer transporters to develop their digital marketing.Trailer transporters ENDE‘s Managing Direct Nick Dent asked website design Cheltenham to build in a search engine optimised, responsive site to help his business to attract new business.

We started with the basics and researched potentially appropriate domain names which would be fit for the business and after much research, we settled on ENDE.org.uk.

We then made a design brief for his potential logo which included what he liked- and didn’t like as well as reviewing some of his competitors.

After making various draft versions and much further research of his staff, friends and potential clients we settled on the above logo- which clearly states his business name, his domain name and the overall style- which matches his aspirations.

We are now in the process of building his website- which has already been picked up by search engines like Google and Bing so when we are ready his site will have a good ranking- rather than wait for a competitive listing.

UK shoppers top online spending league

Shoppers in the UK spend more online per person than those from any other country in the world.

Shoppers in the UK spend more online per person than those from any other country in the world.Analysis from Internet World Germany found that British shoppers spend an average of £1,050 a year, followed by the US, with £1,001. German shoppers came in third place, each spending an average of £915 via the internet each year.

Within Germany, found the analysis, the top 10 online retailers generate more than a third of total ecommerce sales. Amazon Amazon is the most popular online shop, with sales put at more than £4.9 billion, while fashion retailers Otto and Zalando recorded sales of almost £1.5 billion and £659 million respectively. Online accounts for 15.3% of total retail sales, excluding food.

“The average ecommerce spend per head spend in Germany is not far off UK and US levels,” said Saskia Müller, head of Internet World Germany. “With domestic and international online brands continuing to understand what’s important to German consumers and adding value to their services, there’s a lot of room for growth in an already mature market.”

However in the UK mobile’s share of visits to UK retail sites has increased to 64%.

Smartphone shopping is now the default for  U.K. shoppers with 64% of all website visits to retailers last year coming from mobile devices, according to digital market intelligence company, SimilarWeb.

The study revealed that on average 64.54% of visits to all online retail sites in the U.K last year were via mobile phones, compared to 35.46% for desktop. This reflected a further 2.63% increase for mobile’s market share in the online U.K retail market last year.

The UK now has a bigger share of mobile phone shopping than the U.S (55%), Germany (43%) and France (35%).  However India remained the standout leader for mobile shopping, with a 65% share, over desktop, last year.

On average, across 2015, all of the most popular 10 UK retail sites, including Amazon, eBay and Argos, registered a bigger share of visits from mobile, compared to desktop visits (see below).

The shift to mobile also represented a retail challenge — while on average U.K desktop visitors browsed 12.4 pages per session in 2015, this dropped to 7.3 pages when sites were visited via smartphones.

Similarly, on desktop, UK shoppers spent  7.21 minutes on an average retail site viewed from desktop last year, dropping  to an average of 5 minutes and 5 seconds on a mobile device.

The UK is now a European leader in mobile shopping, far ahead of France, and Germany.

Website Design Cheltenham adds Stroud Valleys Credit Union

Website Design in Cheltenham has added Stroud Valleys Credit Union to our roster of clients.

Website Design in Cheltenham has added Stroud Valleys Credit Union to our roster of clientsStroud Valleys Credit Union has had a website for a number of years, but is was not responsive ie will not work across various screens ie computers, notepads and smart phones- and was very difficult for the Credit Union to update.

So they asked us to see if we could help them- which was naturally a pleasure.

We drew up a rough list of requirements which helped the Union draw up a comprehensive content brief.

After presenting a creative template we converted the whole website into a WordPress format. This means that the site is now fully complaint with Google’s Mobile Compatibility tool- as well as being easily able to be updated with their latest news and content changes as required by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)- who regulate them.

After the Credit Union’s management reviewed our redesign results we then provided access and training to key staff members so that they can progress the site on their own- without the need for costly and slow third parties to effect the updates- as well as keeping on the right side of the regulatory authorities.

So, if you want a great ranking website which works on all screens- computers, macs, notepads, smart phones and iPods please contact us now or ring us on 01242 521967 now to see how we can help you to make money as well!

Contemporary Cake website redesigned

Contemporary Cake Designs’ website has been redesigned by Website Design Cheltenham.

Contemporary Cake Designs website has been redesigned by Website Design Cheltenham. The Contemporary Cake Designs‘ website has been completely rebuilt and redesigned by the Website Design Cheltenham.

The old site hadn’t been updated for several years, so the brief was to make the site Contemporary as well as responsive- ie will work on computer screens, smart phones, tablets and all mobile devices- and search engine optimised so that people can find the new site in the first place.

Thus our opportunity started with redesigning their logo- which they wanted to be fresh, modern and in keeping with their professional patisserie status as creative cake artists.

The result you can see above.

Our next requirement was to install a WordPress system so that the whole site is now more able to be editted by the clients- but also to provide more technical capabilities for the site going forward- ie future proofing the site for future developments and business requirements.

The next step was to add new content and make sure that all of the pages and images were search engine optimised for Google and the search engines to maximise the potential of their amazing cakes.

The end result- “Amazing” said Xavier Pelloux the Managing Director. “Really like what you have done and appreciate all of your hard wrk. Thank you!”
